Permanently installed, Generac standby generators sense a power failure and start automatically whether you’re home or away. They restore power to your entire home or the critical circuits you pre-selected within seconds. Because they run on natural gas or liquid propane, they start easily in cold weather and are environmentally friendly.
And unlike a portable generator, you don’t have to go outside, run extension cords, or refuel it with messy gasoline. They come with a built in composite mounting pad for simplified installation.

With 6kW through 20kW models in the Air-Cooled Residential line, there's a model to cover the critical backup needs for most households. For larger residences or more extensive power requirements, the Liquid Cooled QT Series includes units up to 150kW.

Generac RTS automatic transfer switches are designed to
operate with the Generac R100 control used on air cooled
and water cooled QT series gaseous generators from 7
kW through 60 kW. The RTS transfer switch will operate
only with the Generac R100 controller. The 100, 200 and 400 amp open transition switches are available in single and 3 phase configurations for 120/240, 120/208 and
120/240 3 phase at 100, 200 and 400 amp ratings and 277/480 at the 100 and 200 amp rating. It is available as a stand-alone switch or for single phase with a built in 10, 12 or 16-circuit load center to supply only those circuits that are essential during an emergency. All standard and load center transfer switches are UL and CUL Listed and suitable for use as optional standby systems.
